She was predeceased by: her parents, Adger Howard and Ana Payne Owens; her spouse Lee Johnson Williams; and her sister Alberta Santmyres. She is survived by: her siblings, Harold Owens, Troy Owens, Susie Sumner and Bill Owens; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Owens of Carnesville, Tootsie Andrews of Carnesville and Mary Williams of Carnesville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Papa Pickel wrote a sympathy message

“Mrs. Williams ( or Ms. Owens when I knew her) was one of my teachers in the late 60's at Madison Co High School. We always had to write notes in her class and formally put them in a notebook using ONLY a true fountain pen. My penmanship was terrible, but she expected the best either way and I admired her for that. I lost track after many years. I graduated in 1970 but had two other siblings come up in the same high school. Ms. Williams set high standards in her class and for her students.”
