He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl E. Barclay and Maggie Rimini Barclay; his daughter Beth Ann Barclay; and his son-in-law Dewayne Lawhead. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wilfong Barclay; his children, Amy Lawhead, David (Lynn Diehl) and Derek Diehl; his granddaughters, Hannah Routon and Reanna Lawhead; his brother Paul; and his sister-in-law Linda Barclay.
