He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade W. Thomas and Louise Faison Thomas; his brother Denny Ray Thomas, Sr.; and his stepson Timothy Daniel Hay. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his sons, Fred Thomas (Sheila) of Franklin and Timothy Thomas (Richard Hatfield) of Columbus, Georgia; his grandchildren, Amy, Katie, Phillip and Trenton; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan, Caiden, Reagan, Jovi, Isaac and Grayson; his niece Koren; his nephew Denny; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Brogdon (Carrollton) and Glenn Brogdon (Donna).
