He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Flinn Sr. and Ella Cannon Flinn; and his wife Avril J. Flinn. He is survived by: his son T. Michael Flinn; his daughter-in-law Marni Pinkerton Flinn; his daughter Ella Jane Tepp; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lauren Flinn, Justin Michael Flinn (Caitlynn Dempsey Flinn), Logan Matthew Flinn, Brandon Todd Tepp and Myles Alexander Tepp; his great grandchild Beckham Hayes Flinn; and his stepdaughters, Sandra Huffman, Vicky Steed and Sherrie Hosey.
