He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Fred Stephens and Mildred Davis Stephens; his wife Barbara Ann Edwards Stephens; his brother Ronald Wayne Stephens (Dot); his nephews, Michael Stephens, Chris Stephens and Benji Stephens; and his aunt Willian "Bill" Davis.

He is survived by: his children, Matt Stephens (Crystal), Stephanie Bristol (Matt) and DJ Williams (Kristen); his grandchildren, Austin Parker (Morgan), Alexandria Manning (Phillip), Skylar Brown, Zachary Stephens, Lili Stephens, Hunter Bristol (Chloe), Chase Bristol (Allie), Macie Bristol, Cole Williams and Lexi Williams; and his brothers, Lynn Stephens (Diane) and Cary Stephens (Cindy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
