He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell Johnson and Lizzie Mae Robinson; his wife Martha "Jo" Shumake Johnson; and his daughter Sherri Jo Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Kim (Philip Plummer) and Janet (Monty Alston); his grandchildren, Rhyan Presnal, Justin Alston, Misti Alston and Jacob Plummer; and his sister Reda Johnson. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
