With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Houston Barr of Carrollton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2025 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his former wife Meredith Barr; and his son-in-law Jim Porter. He is survived by: his parents, Lee Houston Barr, Jr. and Nita Jackson Barr; his wife Elle Barr; his sister Jan; his brother-in-law Stephen Blackburn; his grandchildren, Rory, Lhana, Gus, Sloan, Elsie Jo, Sadie, Hugh and Hutch; his stepchildren, Daniel Vega, Laura Vega, Genasis Vega and Dayana Vega; and his daughters, Erin Riggins (Don Riggins) and Elizabeth Sanders (Mark Sanders).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Almon Funeral Home (548 Newnan St, Carrollton, GA 30117). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Carrollton First Methodist Church (206 Newnan St, Carrollton, GA 30117).
