With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Gill (Carrollton, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Gill to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Gill and Margaret Lillian Jones Gill. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Cook Gill; his children, Shannon Gill Dayhoff (Dwight) and James Arthur Gill, Jr. (Kristen); his grandchildren, James Arthur Gill, III and Adair Jane Gill; and his siblings, Gerald Rister Gill (Jerry), Charles Woodrow Gill and Judy Gill Lovett. He is also survived by 7 nieces and 1 nephew along with beloved cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Jim and Cheryl Gill Sertoma Endowment Fund to support initiatives such as the Fantasy Baseball camp for hearing impaired children and other local Sertoma Projects.
