He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Carter and Louise Carter (Norton). He is survived by: his wife Lisa Carol Carter (Quinton); his son Robbie; his daughter-in-law Breanna Quinton; his daughter Haley; his son-in-law Zack Helton; his grandchildren, Carol Quinton, Blakley Helton, Hadley Helton and James Bryant Junior; his brother Edward; and his sister-in-law Karen Carter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
