Joann Strickland Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 20, 2022, at the age of 83, Joann Strickland of Carrollton, Georgia, born in Highlands, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, E. C. Brandenburg, Sr. and Lorene Delemar Brandenburg; her daughter Sonya D. Strickland; and her siblings, Angie Shephard, E. C. Brandenburg, Jr. and Ray Brandenburg.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Strickland; her daughter Vickie Lynn Burnum; her grandchildren, Robert Jacob "Jake" (Nikki Burnum), Luke Burnum of Carrollton and Elisabeth Burnum of Carrollton; and her brothers, Johnny Brandenburg and Phillip Brandenburg. She is also survived by her family, but especially her her grandson and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Joann's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
