John David Popphan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Popphan of Carrollton, Georgia, born in LaGrange, Georgia, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Oliver Popphan and Lena Steele Popphan; his grandson Silas Langlo; and his siblings, Nancy Wilson, Carolyn McEwen, Harlan Popphan, Winford Popphan and Terry Popphan.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Smith Popphan; his children, Linda (John Roberts), Angela (Bruce McPherson), John David "Johnny" Popphan II and Johnna (Guy Langlo); and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Ethan Stephens, William, Sierra Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Augustus McPherson, James McPherson, Autumn Popphan, Spencer Langlo, Nate Langlo and Gray Langlo. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
