He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elmer LaMaitre and Myra Elizabeth Zimmer Rippey. He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Carey (Alex) and Dawn Gillard (Bart); his wife Theresa "Tess" LaMaitre; his grandchildren, Savannah Gillard and Jonathan Preiss; and his siblings, Patricia Scholz, Sue Lauck, Kim DePasquale, Jim Rippey, Cliff Rippey and Tom Rippey. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.
