He is survived by: his children, William Shirey of Carrollton, Joseph Shirey, Jr. of Franklin and Kayla Sanders of Gainesville; his stepson Chris Kidd of Dublin; his siblings, William Anthony Shirey of Carrollton, Timothy Ray Shirey of Ranburne, AL and Elizabeth Ann Shirey of Temple; and his grandchildren, Hunter Joe Shirey, Jaylin Sanders, Eillie Jo Shirey and Tristen Geter.
