It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorene Lands McKenzie (Carrollton, Georgia), born in Arab, Alabama, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Alver Lee Lands and Maggie Jane Nixon Lands; her husband Rev. Jesse E. McKenzie; her son Rayford McKenzie; her brothers, Eugene Lands of Lucille Walker, E. C, Ed Lands, Rayford Lands and Wendell Lands; and her great grandchild Krista Myers.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara (Colon Hemrick), Dennis (Kathleen McKenzie), Debbie (Eddie Argo) and Dianne (Alan Morgan); her grandchildren, Craig Hemrick (Becky), Kelly Myers (Matthew), Jess Argo (Brittany), Jonathan Argo (Lacey), Nathan McKenzie (Christina), Sarah Armstrong (Rob), Kathryn McKenzie, Daniel Morgan (Brittany), Lori Morgan, Josh McKenzie, Jason McKenzie and Jared McKenzie; and her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Myers, Karis Myers, Caleb Myers, Lawson Myers, Jake Argo, Hannah Argo, James Argo, Judah Argo, Jailey Argo, Wyatt McKenzie, Nolan McKenzie and Memphis McKenzie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New Lebanon Baptist Church (1674 Wagers Mill Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).

However, the family encourages memorial contributions to be made to New Lebanon Baptist Church, c/o the Philadelphia Sunday School Class, to expand their mission in support of Wings of Eagles and Samaritan's Purse.
