He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Lynton Smith, Sr. and Mary Gaulding Smith; his wife Sheila Farmer Smith; and his daughter Amy Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Smith and Greta Ayers; his grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Alivia Brown, Blake Ayers and Zachary Ayers; his great grandchild Eleanor Ayers; his sister Mary Lynn; and his brother-in-law Larry Frazier.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Almon Funeral Home (548 Newnan St, Carrollton, GA 30117). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
