He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lee Owen and Lemma Fergerson Owen; and his children, Bill Owen, Kenneth Owen, Tony Owen and Carol Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Cox-Owen; his daughters, Margaret Swarts of Bremen, Angela Cox of Trickum and Amanda (Phillip Jacobs); and his sister Claudine Nobley of Roanoke.
