He was predeceased by: his parents, William Traylor, Sr. and Emma Cosper Traylor; the mother of his children Betty Plexico Traylor; his sister Hilma T. Freeman; his nieces, Louise Cromer and Frances McKinney; and his grandsons, Joe Deese and William Kirby Deese.

He is survived by: his wife Patti Brown Traylor; his children, Terri Meeks (Barry), William P. "Trey" Traylor III (Margaret), Sloane Geiger (Robert) and Susan Livingston (Donnie Cecil); and his grandchildren, Zach Meeks, Ty Meeks, Will Traylor, Andrew Traylor, Bo Traylor, Taylor Silva, Robert Geiger Jr., Cody Livingston, Colton Livingston, Karli, Adam, Noah, Bella and Addi. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
