He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Smith and Helen Smith; and his sister LouAnn Smith. He is survived by: his children, Katie Beauchene (Ben) and Josh Smith (Julie); his granddaughters, Callie Smith and Emma Smith; and his siblings, Rickey Smith (Donna), David Smith (Lisa) and Hope Ashworth (Marty). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Rolling Hills Cemetery (4355 GA-92, Acworth, GA 30102).
