He is survived by: his wife Jackie Hembree; his daughter Leah McCarty (Kenneth); his stepsons, Corey McCafferty, Kevin McCafferty, Trever Champney and Aaron Champney; his granddaughters, Caroline McCarty, Abigail McCarty and Isabel McCafferty; his stepson Emmee Hazelwood; and his siblings, Rosetta Hindmon, Catherine Wigley (Charles), James Hembree (Brenda), Johnny Hembree (Jeannie), Edward Hembree and Clarence Hembree (Angie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
