It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy Eugene Dempsey (Cartersville, Georgia), who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Guy Eugene departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Guy Eugene. Though Guy Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Erastus Dempsey and Dorothy Coker Dempsey. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Dover Dempsey; his sons, Blake Dempsey (Marisa) of Birmingham and Neill Dempsey (Samantha) of Armuchee, Georgia; his grandchildren, Coleston, Rylen, Beretta, Anna Carson and Benelli; and his sister Nancy Guyton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (12 Collins Dr, Cartersville, GA 30120). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
