She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Wren Medlock; her daughter Julie Medlock Hancock; her sisters, Barbara Prewett Brown and Vivian Prewett Kelley; and her sisters-in-law, Delores Burrell Prewett and Virg Prewett. She is also survived by her several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Janet was fondly known as the "Cake Lady" at Tabernacle Baptist Church for her delightful contributions to the community's gatherings and events.
