He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Atkinson and Hazel Atkinson; and the mother of his children Belinda Whaley. He is survived by: his children, Keith Atkinson (Debby) of Rome, Kimberly Fallin (Kevin) of Rome and Patricia Atkinson of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; his brother William Atkinson (Linda) of Jasper, Georgia; and his nephews, Allen Atkinson and Brian Atkinson. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved extended family members and devoted friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
