She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Akins and Margaret Watkins; her husband Wesley Harris; her siblings, Gladys Bird, Henry "Buck" Akins, Chess Akins, Jess Akins and Raymond Akins; and her sons-in-law, Tommy Robertson and Terry Cornwell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joann Cagle, Margaret Cornwell, Sue Harris and Mary Sue Phipps. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
