He is survived by: his wife Karen Mercer Teems; his children, Michael Austin Teems of Goodyear, Arizona and Courtney Mitchell (Caleb) of Adairsville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Easton and Paisleigh; and his sister Arinda Meeks of Auburn, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home (12 Collins Dr, Cartersville, GA 30120).
