She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Ragan and Etta Ragan; her husband Gene Smith; and her stepchildren, Mike and Sandy.

She is survived by: her daughters, Becky, Joy and Jamie. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and an abundance of extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Cartersville First Baptist Church (241 Douthit Ferry Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ministry of Nancy's grandson Ben Straub, who serves the Lord in Zambia, Africa, training African church leaders; a cause close to her heart.
