He is survived by: his wife Sara Schmitt of Cartersville, GA; his children, Paul Schmitt (Teri) of Merrimack, NH, David Schmitt (Margot) of Oviedo, FL and Tiffany Gokey (Brian) of Cartersville, GA.; his stepdaughters, Melissa Hurst of Austin, TX and Jessica Alvarez (Mark) of Tampa, FL.; and his grandchildren, Nick, Elisabeth, Matthew, Mary, Michael, Cecelia Schmitt, Ryan, Megan, Meredith Schmitt, Gianna, Lillian, Robert, Natalie Gokey, Rogan and Jameson Alvarez.
