He is survived by: his sister Sally Cook; his children, Jeanne Cook (William) of Austin, TX, Laurie Cook (Jim) of Denver, CO, Sam Jr. Cook (Becky) of White, GA, Jane Cook of Portland, OR and Rusty Cook (Stephanie) of Tyrone, GA; and his great grandchildren, Sarah (Harrison), Emily, Elias (Matteo), George, Hannah, Ben, Rebekah, Chaz, Sam, Courtney (Eleanor) and Daniel.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (12 Collins Dr, Cartersville, GA 30120).
