He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Edward Chitwood and Barbara Eileen Chitwood; and his stepsiblings, James Wiley, Joyce Woods and Carol Wiley.
He is survived by: his children, James Chase Chitwood, Matthew Cabe Chitwood and Kayla Black; his grandson Cohen Roy Chitwood; his siblings, Barbara Ann Chitwood and Richard Tony Chitwood (Terie); and his siblings' children, Khrystin Chitwood, Kourtney Chitwood, Edward Chitwood, Britney Ethridge and Kristin Ethridge.
