He was predeceased by : his parents, O. N. Wheeler and Sarah Lee Beavers Wheeler; and his brothers, Jack Wheeler and Glenn Wheeler. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Lee McDowell Wheeler; his daughter Karen Couch (Wayne) of Cave Spring; his grandchildren, Raven Hatch, Kayne Wheeler Couch, Jinny Gresham and Lynleigh Couch; and his brother Franklin Davis Wheeler (Butch).

Flowers will be accepted, but for those wishing, memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Baptist Church, 165 Mountain Home Loop, Cedartown, Georgia 30125.
