It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Faye Ann Garmon of Cave Spring, Georgia, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Alexander Looney and Mozella Irene Johnston Looney; and her sister Carolyn Burton. She is survived by: her husband Roy Gerald Garmon; her brother Jerry Looney; her sister-in-law Charlotte Morrison; her children, Mark Mitchell (Lynn), Nick Mitchell (Susan), Melanie Thornbury (Mark) and Tracey Garmon; her grandchildren, Courtney Callaway, Thad Thornbury (Melanie), Dana Thornbury, Kelly Thornbury (Ryan), Luke Mitchell, Jacob Mitchell (Megan), Annelise Evans (Garrett), Jordan Mitchell and Julianna Mitchell; and her nieces, Gola Burton, Kiela Beam, Ginger Whiteis and Faye Weeks. She is also survived by her 10 great grandchildren; numerous other family members.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the South Chapel (3002 Maple Rd SE, Rome, GA 30161). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at the East View Cemetery.
