He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walter and Otha Mae Lewis Angel; his former wife Linda Mullinax Angel; his siblings, Ellen Ruth Angel and Vann Angel; and his granddaughter Jessica Angel.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shaw Holloway Angel; his children, Lee Shirley (Johnny), Carol Bottoms (Mark) and John Wayne Angel Jr. (Christy); his stepchildren, Toni Harp (Ian), Tara Farnsworth (Josh) and Tim Holloway (Lori); his siblings, Jane Murray (George), Marie Evans (Greg) and Elbert Angel (Sheila); his sister-in-law Laurie Angel; and his sons, Rev. Justin Carter and Dr. Brian Crisp. He is also survived by Numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in his honor to the building fund of Second Baptist Church Cedartown, at 152 Evergreen Lane, Cedartown Ga. 30125.
