Ruth Woodell Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Woodell of Cave Spring, Georgia, born in Cedartown, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar N. Voyles and Gladys Shaw Voyles; and her brother George Edward Voyles. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Carter (Jimmy) and Robyn Pitkins (Paul); her grandchildren, Cristen Carter Story (Jamie), Kelly Carter Harbin (Ben), Lauren Pitkins Glosson (Moxon) and Sarah Ruth Pitkins; and her great grandchildren, Lew Story, Sophi Shumate, Carter Story, Ben Harbin III and Nora Ruth Harbin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gammage Funeral Home (106 N College St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cedartown First Methodist Church (201 Wissahickon Ave, Cedartown, GA 30125).
