He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Herman Minter Sr. and Bessie Bell Minter; his former wife Fay Minter; and his siblings, Robert David Minter, Robert Herman Minter Jr., Bonnie Ruth Nichols, Mattie Imojean Nichols and Lois Ann O'Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Minter; his daughter Courtney Bates; his grandchildren, Chelsea Hughes and Corey "Bubba" Bates; and his great grandchildren, Alana Hughes and Ariah Hughes. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at the Rockmart Memorial Gardens (210 Old Cartersville Rd, Rockmart, GA 30153).
