He is survived by: his wife Shirley Minter; his daughter Courtney Bates; his grandchildren, Chelsea Hughes and Corey "Bubba" Bates; his great grandchildren, Alana Hughes and Ariah Hughes; and his brother-in-law Bobby Driver. He is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews.
