He is survived by: his wife Laura Richards Stroup; his children, Russell Stroup (Valerie), Jeremy Stroup (Karen) and Bryan Stroup (Tiffany); his pet Doodlebug; his grandchildren, Brookelynn Pearson, Rylee Stroup, Zoey Stroup, Abbie Stroup, Lily Peyton Stroup, Tennille Stroup, Hunter Stroup, Lexi Stroup, Ethan Stroup, Grayson Stroup, Vanna Waddell, Cayden Waddell and Kristina Ballew; his great grandchildren, Remi Ballew, Jessa Ballew and Hanah Ballew; his sister Delois Gladden (Jimmy); and his nephews, Dustin Stroup and Scott Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Miller Funeral Home (1000 N Main St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home (1000 N Main St, Cedartown, GA 30125).
