Faye Downey Melton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Faye Downey Melton of Cedartown, Georgia, who passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Wilson and Ruby Shaw Wilson; her husband Gary Melton; her daughters, Emma Palacios and Lisa Willis; her sisters, Rebecca Shaw Wilson and Patrician Henderson; and her brother-in-law Greer Henderson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ann Payton, Mary Beth Melton, Selena Mobbs (Kevin) and Gerri Druckenmiller (Bobby); her grandchildren, Lilly Heath (Coleman), Kamron Palacios, Isabella Palacios and Jett Smith; and her great grandchild Tucker Reid. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
In lie of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either Mountain Home Baptist Church or the Old Jackson Chapel Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
