He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifford and Alene Smith Dempsey; and his siblings, Sarah Alice Owens and Daniel Dempsey. He is survived by: his sister Mary Berry. He is also survived by four nieces; one nephew; and several great nieces and great nephews.
