He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Smith and Sarah Maxwell Smith; and his brothers, Johnny Smith and Jimmy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cornett Smith; his children, Johnny Smith and Candi Storey (Ty); and his sister Julia Sweatman. He is also survived by grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
