We bid farewell to JoAnn Cox of Cedartown, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 16, 2026 at the age of 85. JoAnn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Bender and Lillian Brewer Bender; her husband George W. Cox, Jr.; her children, George Tinklepaugh, Richard Tinklepaugh and Carol Collins (Al); and her siblings, Carl Bender, Thomas Bender and Rosemary Maley.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Cox, James Tinklepaugh (Donna), Linda Miller, Debbie Sweet (Ken), Susie Wilfong (Dennis), Robin Bever (Jeff) and Patty Drake (Jim). She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
An entombment will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Polk Memory Gardens (2245 Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown, GA 30125).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Parkinson's Society.
