He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Ayers and Ruth Fortune Ayers; his wife Lois Redmond Ayers; his son John Ricky "Little Ricky" Ayers III; and his siblings, Edward Ayers and Ann Tetreault.
He is survived by: his daughter Brandi Johnson (Corey); his grandsons, Andrew Ayers and Brayden Johnson; his great grandchildren, Shereha "Gracie" Banks and Isaiah "King" Johnson; and his sisters, Sara Davis, Teresa Lemming and Dale Boyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith & Miller Funeral Home (1000 N Main St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
