He is survived by: his wife Martha Jo Ray; his daughter Susan Ray Cates (Doug Cates); his sister Anne Norris; his grandchildren, Benjamin Ray Cates (Allison Johnson Cates), Rebekah Caroline Cates and Mikah Noelle Cates; and his great grandchildren, Levi Benjamin Cates and Rhett Johnson Cates. He is also survived by family members, and special friends.
