Oscar Winslett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Oscar Winslett of Cedartown, Georgia, born in Oneonta, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 24, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Oscar shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Oscar farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff Winslett and Louise Richardson Winslett; and his sisters, Glenda Cantrell and Barbara Jean Winslett. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Hamrick Winslett; his sons, Genile Winslett (Felicia) and Jeff Winslett (Tammy); his grandchildren, Kaelin Winslett (Amber) and Kaci Gilham (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Ansley, Braylee, Klaus and Karoline.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery (2245 Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown, GA 30125).
