It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Elaine Simpson of Cedartown, Georgia, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Bass and Alease West Bass Johnson; her former husband Wayne Crawford; her daughter Heather Crawford; her stepfather George H. "Johnny" Johnson; her siblings, Retha Tart, Hazel Grant, Rachel Revello Derrcott, Alton C. Bass and Dwight Bass; and her son-in-law Tim Morgan.
She is survived by: her husband Terry Simpson; her daughters, Dana Swafford (Kevin), Stephanie Clark (Johnny) and Angie Dollar (Anthony); her grandchildren, Jenna Swords (Joseph), Kayla Green (Lucas) and Drew Swafford (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Emma Warren, Charlee Green, Lexie Green, Addy Swords, Josie Swafford, Bo Swafford, Ethan Swords, Abigail Swords, Ella Swafford and Case Swafford.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kresge Methodist Church (15 Booger Hollow Rd, Cedartown, GA 30125). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at the Polk Memory Gardens (2245 Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown, GA 30125).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Kresge Methodist Church General Fund (15 Booger Hollow Road – Cedartown, GA 30125).
