He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Russell Short and Amelia Simmons Short; and his son James. He is survived by: his wife Judy Baker Short; his son Jerry; his daughter-in-law Christy Short; his daughter Karen; and his son-in-law Bryan Miller. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives.
