He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Long and Molly Long; his son Seth Long; and his brothers, Mark Long and Stevie Long.
He is survived by: his close friend Ann Dalton; his sons, Josh Long of Chattanooga, TN and Adam Long of Chatsworth, GA; the mothers of children, Janie Foster and Sherry Long; and his siblings, Randy (Manesa Long), Anthony Long of Dalton, GA and Donna Mulkey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
