He is survived by: his children, Ashley of Dalton, Georgia, Abby Sales of Dalton, Georgia and Bradley Ridley of Dalton, Georgia; his sister Mira; his brother-in-law Greg Witt of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; his brothers, Wendell (Eunice Sales), Lail Sales of Chatsworth and Telitha Sales of Cleveland, Tennessee; his nieces and nephews, Chandra Sales, Evan Sales, Emma Sales, Kristen, Jonathan Cochran and Gregory Witt, Jr.; his great-niece Madison Cochran; and his aunts, Barbara Ann Trimble of Rocky Face, Ruth Ann Ralston of Dalton, Hilda Sue Painter of Lexington and Lee Sales-Westbrook of Ellijay, Georgia. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Ponders Melrose Chapel. A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
