He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Tom and Jennie Martin; his parents, Ruby Carnes and John Billy Carnes; his grandson Jason Clark (Luke Carnes); his brother Terry Carnes; his brother-in-law Kenneth Chadwick; his nephews, Kenny Chadwick and T. J. Odell; his mother-in-law Ruth Grady; and his brother-in-law Ed Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Carnes; his siblings, Cynthia Chadwick, Annette Ross (Rick), Diane Magana (Martine) and Johnny Carnes (Traci); his children, Keisha Ballew (Tony), Kristie Jones (Jerry), Michael Carnes (Kristy), Randall Carnes and Karri Clark (Johnathon); his grandchildren, Katelyn Collier, Kolten, Kaisley, Kambree Clark, Jerrett, Makayla, Jake Jones, Rilee, Randall Jr., Braxton Carnes, Kiara Ballew, Austin, Hunter, Blake, Cam and Gage Carnes; his great grandchildren, Whitley Rose, Graclyn, Lakota Jones, Hadley Carnes, Bryer Carnes, Lainey Carnes and Luke Carnes; and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Preavette and Wayne Grady (Jennifer). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (215 W Walnut St, Chatsworth, GA 30705). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
