He was predeceased by: his mother Sybil Stevenson; his children, David Stevenson and Carol Stevenson; and his siblings, Grover Stevenson, Hubert Stevenson, Luther Stevenson, Clarence Stevenson, Lloyd Stevenson, Clyde Stevenson, Linda Kendrick, Mammie Robinson and Eloise Royal.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Stevenson of Chatsworth; his sons, Michael (Dianne Stevenson) and Joel Stevenson (Charlene Miles); his brother Fred; his sister-in-law Lynda Stevenson of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Brian, Stephanie Stevenson, Aaron, Patricia Stevenson and Amy Etheridge; and his great grandchildren, Aubrie Stevenson, Will Stevenson and Daniel Stevenson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory (208 S 3rd Ave, Chatsworth, GA 30705). The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cool Springs Baptist Church (4355 Holly Creek Cool Springs Rd, Chatsworth, GA 30705). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
