He was predeceased by: his son Danny Springfield; his siblings, Russell Springfield, Glenn Springfield, Lester Springfield, Fred Springfield, William "Forest" Springfield, Ulus Springfield, Dimple Arnold, Pearl Luffman, Gerthie Springfield, Irene Springfield and Laura Springfield; his parents, Tom Springfield and Sophie Stines Springfield; his siblings-in-law, John Paul, Wilma Cowart, Raymond, Glenda Ballew, Fred, Jackie Ballew, Faye, Charles Silvers, Cecil, Christine Ballew and James "Jim" Bishop; and his parents-in-law, Claude and Stella Ballew.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Springfield; and his sister-in-law Effie Bishop. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
