He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Gordon and Helen Dobson; his stepfather Fred Dobson; and his brothers, Kenneth Ronald Gordon, Michael Eric Gordon and Donald Terry Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Butler Gordon; his son James "Jim" Gordon; his daughter-in-law Keisha Gordon; his granddaughters, Olivia and Ella Gordon; and his nieces and nephews, Cindy Cordero, Veronica Howell, Cyrena Raeder, Matt Byrne, Erica Carnes, Jonathan Gordon, Brad Butler, Bonnie Sluder, Amanda Souther, Anita Withrow and Andy Middleton. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory (208 S 3rd Ave, Chatsworth, GA 30705).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Guthy Jackson Research Foundation (https://guthyjacksonfoundation.org).
