Inez Self Obituary
Mrs. Inez Marie Self, age 92, of Dawnville community went home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2017. Inez moved to Dawnville when she was 19. That is where she met and married our dad, Claude Self, after dating for only two weeks. They were joined together in marriage by our grandfather, Rev. William E. Self. They were together 24/7 for almost 50 years before Claude passed.
Together they owned and operated Borletti Sewing Center for many years. Their friends at Barrett's Florist, Hugh, Debbie and Michael along with Bones and Jessica from the Music Factory were all considered members of the family. Mom enjoyed trout fishing almost more than anything. Dad would have to drag her off the river bank when it was time to go home.
Mom's second love was her garden. She grew enough beans, corn and tomatoes to feed half the county. She was so happy to give away the fruits of her labor. She is preceded in death by her husband: Claude Self. She is survived by three children: Claudette Hefner, husband Wayne, deceased, Terry and wife, Brenda, Self, and Carolyn Rollins. 8 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
We cant forget to mention Linda Elsberry Wade. She was always at our home and just like us , she called our parents Mommy and Daddy. They loved her as their own. We know everyone says it: but we three children honestly had the best Mom and Dad everyone else could only hope for. Her wish was to be cremated and no public visitation.
A private ceremony for family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Amedisys Hospice would be appreciated. We love you and miss you mom. We won't be saying goodbye, just "See you again soon".
